Biggest Football Competition in Europe
The European Championship is the biggest football tournament in Europe organized by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA). This is the 17th edition of the competition which will be hosted by Germany from 14 June to 14 July in this Summer. On 27 September 2018, Germany became the official host nation after beating Turkey with 12 votes to Turkey's 4.
It is the 2nd most-watched football competition in the World after FIFA World Cup. According to reports, more than 600 million fans watch the final of the European Championship 2016. It was played between the hosts France and Portugal. Automatically, it the is most-watched football competition in Europe.
The European Championship 2024 will follow the same format as previous editions. Every team will play 3 group stage games against their group rivals and the top two teams from each group along with 4 best 3rd place teams will qualify for the Round of 16.
Qualified Teams & Groups for the Euro 2024
Except for the host nation Germany, all teams qualified for the UEFA Euro 2024 Championship through qualifying. The qualification matches started on 23 March 2023 and the last qualification play-off will be played on 26 March 2024.
Teams: Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, Austria, England, Hungary, Slovakia, Albania, Denmark, Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland, Serbia, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia., Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia.
All teams are divided into 6 groups and each group consists of 4 teams. Every team will play one match against their group rivals. The team finishing at the top 2 spots along with the 4 best third-place teams will qualify for the Round of 16. The Groups are:

Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland
Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, and Albania
Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, and England
Group D: Poland, Netherlands, Austria, and France
Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine
Group F: Turkey, Georgia, Portugal, and Czech Republic
Georgia is the only team in this edition that will make its debut in the European Championship. They did not qualify in the previous edition but this time, they won against the Euro 2004 winners, Greece in the qualifying play-offs, and booked a place in the finals.
The other 2 teams qualified through play-offs are Poland and Ukraine. Poland won against Wales and Ukraine won against Iceland in the play-offs. All 24 teams have been confirmed and the competition is set to begin in Summer this year.
